JOB TITLE: Data Control Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY: Position is responsible for collecting and maintaining databases used on research projects and collaborates with research team in conducting epidemiologic studies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

  1. Collaborates with superior on patient eligibility, informing patient of protocol requirements on acceptance.
  1. Insures patients follow-up visits, tests and measurements obtained according to protocol specifications and recorded in a timely manner.
  1. Maintains current records, submitting data reports as required.
  2. Obtains data in retrospective and prospective manner, entering information into computer for data management.
  3. Obtains data as requested by the Principal Investigator, collaborators and research analysis staff.

Other Functions:

  1. Maintains electronic equipment used for fieldwork with research projects.
  2. May interview research subjects as needed.

JOB LOCATION/WORKING CONDITIONS: Office and/or research lab setting with changing time pressures and some exposure to biological samples.

CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE: Knowledge of clinical care, experience with computers and data collection skills.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Equivalent of Bachelor’s degree required with 1 year experience in clinical and or medical research setting preferred.

RELATIONSHIP: Maintains a working relationship with clinical staff and research subjects.
